    I'm curious. I know being in direct sun and seeing your controller screen is a challenge. The shade is probably good enough for the pilot, but in this kind of work, do you ever work in teams and collaborate, and if so, is that monitor insufficient?

    Electric cars are nothing new. They had them in the 1800's! I guess you are saving money by not buying gas so most of that money is going to buy groceries and insurance which have gone to ridiculous prices due to Bidenomics.

    Why am I paying for other people to charge their cars? Does United Power offer a program to help me fuel my car? United power is a co-op. They have no business pushing political agendas. Their only job is to provide power as cheap as possible to it's members. This ain't it United Power.

    I did this for all my trunk ducts. Made a big difference in keeping the ducts from radiating heat out into my unfinished crawlspace. The only thing I would add here is to use the foamboard (or regular insulation) where possible on the tops of the duct trunks as well as taping ALL seams. Also, for those tight areas where the return and supply lines are so close perhaps the radiant foil you showed would be better than those presentation plastic thingys

      @jarrodjordan5293 Год назад

      @Vivec's Vassals because the government is giving people tax incentives to buy that junk and united power is using the money we pay them to make it easier to buy that junk. It'd be better just to lower rates.

    • @jarrodjordan5293
      @jarrodjordan5293 Год назад

      @Vivec's Vassals that's just addressing the waste of money. Evs are junk because they are a solution in search of a problem. Also all the dummies that drive them think they're saving the planet when they're just harming it and the people that live on it, especially the poor brown ones they profess they want to help so badly.

    When I was a firefighter I was electrocuted outside a house fire buy a downed power line from pole hidden in tall grass. I remember is my knees buckling, putting my hand down on ground to catch myself and immediately seeing sparks and feeling like I was hit by a truck as I was thrown backwards. When I regained consciousness it felt like a elephant was sitting on my chest as I was having trouble breathing and in pain. I was rushed to hospital and they were surprised I wasn't dead. I refused to stay for observation like a dumbass. I just wanted to go home. I've been scared of electricity ever since.

    I knew someone who hit an overhead power line with a dump truck. Got out and nothing happened, reached back in the truck for something and got blown apart. Lost both legs and had other serious injuries. Even the 120/240 power on the secondary side can easily kill you.

    • @JoseNunez600
      @JoseNunez600 2 года назад

      He should have staid in the truck the rubber wheels were keeping him insulated , or gotten out hopping with both legs together so no circuit would be created

    terrible work. you basically tacked the panels on and did not seal each panel to the other. that lets moisture in. a basic no-no. ok to hold in place but then you seal those joints completely. how did you tape the panel you couldn't fit but had to slid it down into position? you didn't, moisture there too. You didn't mention anything about checking seams. i would've put mastic down on all seams regardless. metal tape at the least. your end result was sloppy as hell. looked like crap.

    A good DIY video, but NOT showing missing steps; Don't test or seal all duct joints first. Don't check and screw-down loose take off boots or large duct sections for popping noises when heating up/cooling off. Don't use spacers to allow an air space between duct and insulation. Use a flammable paper backed F/G insulation not intended for supply duct work.

    Thanks! I was just about to give up looking up if that kind could/should be used to insulate ducts...I even looked on the Rmax poly/foamboard website, h.depot, none of them had the foil faced poly-foam sheet material as duct insulation. This project I'm doing new cold air returns in my crawlspace, I had bought the foil/bubble wrap but it's going back, I need max insulation per inch due to clearance limitations. Too bad "Dow tuff stuff" is so hard to get/find..H.Depot says "only in stores" which means if it sin't in your store, you can't special order it..and it's not around here in Michigan. The Home depot does carry the Rmax R-matte poly-foam boards which I'm going to go purchase, and seal the corners and edges with foil tape UL181 for hvac. I'm skeptical about the soft science claims of the foil/bubble wrap crap.
